Then, in the privacy of your own home, you can spend time getting into shape. At first, you may only be able to jump rope for about five minutes but by doing this daily, you will find yourself building up stamina and endurance while enjoying the many health benefits. Running Just as with walking, running is an aerobics form of exercise that speeds up the heart, thus making it stronger. Running is great in that you could do this at your local park, a school with a track field, or at an indoor gym with a track. Although walking is better on the knees, the benefit of running is again, it pushes the heart to work hard, which is a good thing. Swimming The wonderful aspect of this aerobics exercise is that it is low impact. That means people with bad knees, backs, or other health problems can still enjoy swimming and the many benefits it provides but without risk of injury. Today, you will find gyms across the country offering water aerobics, which uses various body movements in a fun, but effective way. The feel of the water is also relaxing, which is perfect for reducing stress and anxiety. Hiking If you live in a part of the country with hills or mountains, take advantage of them. Hiking is an excellent for of aerobic exercise that will get the heart pumping, the lungs expanded, and the muscles working. In addition to the many health benefits, hiking is also fun. This is something the family could do together or on safe trails, something you could do alone. Remember, it is not the type of aerobic exercise or activity you do but the fact that you are doing it. You can start slow, working your way up to more advanced exercises and activities. As a result, you will feel better, look better, and be doing something incredible for your overall health.
