Image Parents tend to take it for granted that children need to eat to grow and with all their wiggling around they will somehow get enough exercise. We think they get enough playing on the playground for the 15 minutes they go outside, and that the cafeteria provides well-rounded meals. We assume that when they go over to play at Skippy’s house that they’ll be running around for hours. But in this digital age, that may not be the case. Studies are showing that children are more sedentary than ever. The days of running to the neighborhood ballpark on a Saturday afternoon to pick up a casual game are over. And in some houses, the days of home cooked meals are too.
